Hamilton man charged with Impaired and Over 80 Cause Bodily Harm in Burlington collision, Brant Street/Fairview Street

A motor vehicle collision occurred on Sunday, February 14, 2016 at approximately 12:24 am at the intersection of Brant St and Fairview St in the City of Burlington.

The accused and a 22 year old female passenger were travelling southbound on Brant St. in a white Honda Civic. As the vehicle entered the intersection it travelled to the left and struck the light standard on the south side centre median. No other vehicles were involved in the collision. Both parties suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigation revealed the accused was impaired by alcohol and was operating a motor vehicle with more than 80 mgs.
Dimitrios DIMAS, 33 years, of Hamilton, has been charged with:

  • Impaired and Over 80 Cause Bodily Harm.

He is scheduled to appear in Milton Court on March 30, 2016.
