Investigators with the York Regional Police Major Collision Investigation Unit have laid charges after an investigation in a fatal collision in the City of Vaughan.
On Monday, November 9, 2015 at 1:50 p.m., York Regional Police were called to a collision in the parking lot of the Dufferin Clark Community Centre, located at 1441 Clark Avenue West, in the City of Vaughan. A 2002 Buick LeSabre lost control in the parking lot and collided with several parked vehicles.
A female passenger, a 76-year-old woman from Richmond Hill, was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries and later succumbed to those injuries in hospital. The driver, a 79-year-old man from Richmond Hill, and another passenger, an 82-year-old woman from Richmond Hill, were not injured.
Following a lengthy investigation, the driver of the vehicle has been charged.

The accused will be appearing before the Ontario Court of Justice in Newmarket on April 21, 2016.
